Latisse is believed to work by extending the active growth phase of the eyelash cycle. Lash growth happens gradually, and some patients may begin noticing changes after about one month. Many patients see their full results after approximately 16 weeks of consistent use. Individual results may vary, and eyelashes will gradually return to their previous appearance after treatment is discontinued.
How to Use Latisse
Latisse is applied once nightly along the base of the upper eyelashes using the sterile applicators provided with the product. It should not be applied directly into the eye or to the lower eyelid. Contact lenses should be removed before application and may generally be replaced after 15 minutes.
Latisse is available by prescription only. Before beginning treatment, tell your doctor about any eye conditions, eye surgeries, or medications used to manage eye pressure. Possible side effects include itchy or red eyes, eye irritation, eyelid skin darkening, and dryness. Latisse may also cause brown darkening of the colored part of the eye, which may be permanent.
